Tap the Echoes tab, then the + button in the top-right corner. Give your Echo some text, assign it a category, and set how often you want it to appear. Tap Save.
Each Echo has a frequency from Occasionally to Daily. This controls how often it appears in your daily list:
The algorithm is probability-based, so these are tendencies rather than guarantees.
If an Echo's frequency is set below Daily, it won't appear every day. That's intentional. If an Echo set to Daily is missing, check that it's marked as Active (tap it in the Echoes tab to open the edit form).
Open Settings (the gear icon on either tab) and scroll to the Danger Zone section. Tap Reset Today's List. This rebuilds today's selection immediately.
Yes. Tap any Echo in the Echoes tab to open the edit form. From there you can change any field, toggle it active/inactive, or delete it with the Delete Echo button at the bottom.
Echoes is free to use. After a while, a prompt appears asking you to support the app. The one-time purchase removes this prompt permanently and helps keep the app going. All payment processing is handled by Apple.
If you're signed into the same Apple ID on multiple devices, your entire library and today's checked state sync automatically via iCloud. There's nothing to set up. Sync is on by default.
Open Settings and tap Export Echoes to share a JSON file containing your full library. You can re-import this file later with Import Echoes. Note: importing replaces your current library.
Yes. If you're not signed into iCloud or have iCloud disabled for Echoes, the app works entirely locally on your device.
